Our Facility
Custom Electronics Company is located in an 8000 square foot light manufacturing building in the Montgomery County airpark industrial center in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
The company has been at this location since 1979 and has invested significantly in infrastructure for electronics assembly. Distinct work areas for kitting, surface mount, through-hole, inspection, integration, and test are established for organic workflow. The facility is spotlessly clean, well lit, and well tooled. Static Free Flooring
Tough anti-static carpeting keeps the work area quiet and safe. Employees wear heal straps and work at grounded stations.
Reflow Oven
Two large seven zone reflow ovens offer significant flexibility and are rated for soldering lead free assemblies.
SMT Pick & Place
Two flexible pick and place machines with significant high density feeder capacity offer production part placement.
SMT Stencil Printer
A state of the art stencil printer supports SMT assemblies from the beginnng with flawless, automatic solder paste deposition.
Wave Solder
A full size wave solder system is carefully maintained and still supports large volumes of legacy through-hole assemblies.
Aqueous Cleaner
An automatic aqueous batch cleaning system is available for high volume assemblies.
X-Ray Inspection
Every assembly with a BGA or LGA pacakge is x-ray inspected.
AOI System
Automated optical inspection provides tireless verification of solder joints, component placement, and markings.
